After the October 1st shooting., we decided to move off the strip away from Manadaly Bay. While we were moving, our car broke down. We went to the gas station to charge our phones. When we got back, there was a group of off road SUVs firing rifles by our car. They broke in and stole all our belongings out of the car including our personal docs, bank account info, passports and the title to the car. We called Las Vegas Metro Police department in Enterprise and they showed up with three SUVs about 7 officers. It was Saturday night and they said they didn't feel like writing a report because they wanted to deal with the shooters. Personally, I think they were friends with these kids because no arrests were made. They said to call in the morning. We called in the morning and they said the detectives don’t work Sunday’s and that we should call back on Monday.
Later Sunday afternoon, those same kids came back and stole the entire car and drained our bank account. This is after we informed the police of the break in. By the time the detectives returned our call on Tuesday, the whole car was stolen. We filed a police report, but they never recovered our last valuable asset; our car. We decided our best option was to stay in a cave up in the hills. We ended up staying for over three months and photo documented the entire experience.
