What do phones have to do with making movies? AT&T buys Time Warner

*David Byrne's film "True Stories" predicted this (and other things) that are happening today, such as AT&T buying Time Warner. The movie suggests that GM would buy Amazon (cars and books) but who would have known in 1986 that most likely Amazon will buy GM in 2025.
To understand thew agenda of AT&T, Randall L. Stephenson and Donald Trump, you have to go back to the 1980s when Trump was bankrupt and AT&T was a monopoly.

The Break Up of AT&T

In 1984, the U.S. Broke Apart AT&T because they had a Monopoly: 2019 They Have a Monopoly Again

They did not go easy. In 1974, The United States Department of Justice files suit again AT&T declaring it a violation of the Sherman AntiTrust Act of 1890. And in 2018, Federal Judge Richard J Leon allowed AT&T to acquire Time-Warner, Warner Bros Studios, CNN, TurnerBroadcasting, and HBO.

Back to the AT&T break up. Finally, after 8 years in court, it was mandated that AT&T was to be broken up into 7 different companies. The result was a surge of technology, inventions, creativity, and commerce. MCI, Nokia, Sprint, IBM and even Apple became bigger leaders because they had a new competitor because competition in a free market makes strong companies stronger and weak companies die. So here was the test. A monopoly was now competing in the free market.

How Did They Do?

As expected, the AT&T monopoly produced poorer quality products than their competitors because monopolies stifle creativity. Thats why there are still Apple computers but you have probably never heard of an AT&T computer. https://youtu.be/EDhpcOJ2zzM

Once a monopoly is broken up, there is room for innovation. Innovation is what separates Americans from Europeans and Eastern Europeans.

When a monopoly occurs, it is the role of the US Department of Justice (DOJ) to break up the monopoly. That is because monopolies stifle innovation as well productivity, creativity and eventually commerce. The reason is, for example; if you MUST to buy everything from one company because there are no other options, then that company can charge whatever they want and people will still buy their products. And that company can produce whatever quality they want and the consumer will still buy their products. Essentially, a monopoly takes the free market for granted.

With secure borders, monopolies can thrive because consumers have no other options. They cannot reach beyond their walls to buy better products. For example, the USSR of the 1980s was an extreme example of a monopoly with an extremely secure border. The Russian people were kept isolated with a wall and they were unable to receive any goods unless it came from a state approved monopoly. As a result, Russians had the lamest cars, the WORST music and they certainly did not contribute the technology boom of the 1990s. Metaphorically, Russia was the fat, lazy, greedy kings who thought they could stay fat, lazy and greedy forever without innovation. For example, they made cars for 70 years, but can you name a Russian car? Again, it is proven that monopolies will produce the lamest products. Oh, and the whole Russian economy collapsed once they brought down the wall and allowed free commerce because everyone else had better, cheaper products.

While the ultimate goal in a capitalism is to “corner the market” or have a monopoly, a monopoly will make the country less innovative.

President Trump is in Cahoots with Russia

Today, the President of the United States is in cahoots with the Russian President, Vladimir Putin. President Trump covered up for the Russians interfering with the U.S. elections. The CIA has indicted and convicted dozens of Russian nationalists for rigging our elections in 2016. The people felt that President Trump was colluding with the Russians so a probe was launched by the FBI. After a 2 year investigation and the 450 page report was completed, President Trump immediately fired his Attorney General and replaced him with a puppet AG named William Barr.

William Barr was named the 85th Attorney General of the United States two weeks before the FBI report was released. As expected, William Barr released a redacted 5-page summary of the 450 page report which supposedly cleared the President. The head of the FBI feels that the 5 page redaction is not accurate and that it does not vindicate the President. There is an ongoing battle to release the full report.

President Trump has a sister who is a federal judge. It is most likely that she may be the legal expert who is helping President Trump navigate behind the scenes to avoid prosecution.

Building the Wall is about Building Monopolies

President Trump is creating a breeding ground for monopolies. Since he took office in 2016, President Trump has allowed for conglomerates to merge, secured funding to build walls and has raised tariffs on imports from China. These all restrict global commerce and breed monopolies.

In the 2018 and 2019 the United States Department of Justice allowed the following mergers and acquisitions:
Amazon and Whole Foods
AT&T and Tim-Warner (HBO, Time, CNN, DirectTV)
T-Mobile and Sprint
FiServe and FDC.

These are HUGE. Thats all of media, retail, food and banking monopolize din 18 months. And this was all accomplished using funny money from the big banks on Wall Street - remember too big to fail?

We are at the end of the road if we let banks, media, telecommunications and our food supply all conglomerate into one or two companies, ultimately controlled by the government.
