Pushed Off a Bus to His Death
This is one of those crazy incidences that just got out of hand. It started with two people arguing on the bus and ended with an old man being pushed to his death. A lot of people are jumping on the defense of the old man. Which of course there is never a reason to push someone off a bus. That’s a given. We can all agree the lady should not have pushed the man.
Now let’s remember the man’s attitude got him pushed off a bus. There is no way this man is some hero that we should be treating as a martyr. He got in an altercation with a woman on the bus that made her mad enough to push an old man. For the most part, people are generally good. They do not go around pushing people unprovoked. We can clearly see that they are arguing and saying aggressive things to each other.
I got to thinking what would make a black woman push an old white man off a bus? What could he have said? Could it have been racial? Could it have been chauvinistic? Or maybe he was just being down right rude and called her a name like “Bitch”. I do not know what was said, but other people on the bus do. Hopefully those details will come out in court.
Do I think what this woman did was valid or okay or warranted? No, but I do not think that it was unprovoked. I can clearly see they get in an altercation and she gets mad enough to push a senior citizen off the bus. He must have said some nasty things.
It is unfortunate that the man died, but he was “REALLY OLD”. There is a good chance that man was going to die soon. We act like we want to hang a woman for involuntary manslaughter. Yes she pushed the man to his death, but I guarantee her intention was not to kill the man. She should not get the death penalty for this.
This is a horrible tragic incident that when an argument goes too far and someone gets hurt or dies. People do not intend to kill or harm the other person, they just let their anger take over. This lady clearly has a lot of pent up aggression as we all do in this society. We live in a society of angry and depressed people.
Most people just know how to stay with in the lines and never ruffle any feathers. It does not mean any of us have ever wanted to push someone. We just generally would decide against that. Well this woman did not decide against that. So the punishment should match the fact that she pushed a man. She should not be charged with murder. That part is the accident. I’m sure she had no intention of murdering a man when he pissed her off.
I get the impression this man was not the nicest man on the planet. Which does not excuse her behavior, but let’s make sure not to make this old man a Saint overnight. The Universe chose that this man have an ending like this. Most likely because he was a mean old man. It’s like they say Karma is a bitch when you are a dick.
I feel sorry for this man’s family, if they are upset. Losing a loved one is tough. I’ve lost my mother, brother, grand parents, father in law and brother in law. I am not being insensitive to death. If anything making light of the situation is always better. You can hate on this woman or you can say hey maybe the old man is happier on the other side. He appeared to be an unhappy, grumpy and depressed man in this life.
*Editors Note: The video of a man hurled to his death was released 2 months after this incident occurred. They already had detained the subject; she was awaiting to make bail. The Sheriff Joe Lombardo and the Clark County DA Steve Wolfson work together to publicly “smear” a defendant using the local media in order to make their case. The main local paper (owned by casino mogul Sheldon Adelson) distributes the press release and then all the local media news outlets broadcast their message. The Sherrif and the DA have created a “mob” wanting to lynch this woman online. I’ve read everything from “hang her from a tree” to a major twitter feeder @LasVegasLocally conjuring up a mob by tweeting the DA demanding the department to release the name of the judge who let the defendant out on bail. The judge’s name is public info, but lynch mobs are not the most logical group. Anyways, as the local stations gain exposure, clicks & ratings by releasing the video of a man hurled off a bus to his death, most DAs would be concerned that the defendant could not get a fair trial in Clark County county and that the case would be declared a mistrial. - JR
