The Jedi first moved to Las Vegas in 2013. We didn't have a car. We would take the bus to the strip and hang out all day. There was free food & cheap drinks. It was fun. We could sit for hours and watch the people. We had no money and we were never asked to "move along." We were "riff-raff" but we could see that Vegas had an upscale demographic because we often felt underdressed. But after walking the Strip on Saturday night, it was obvious that the Las Vegas demographic has changed to a "San Padre Island" crowd. If you are not from Texas, then find someone who is. They will explain what that means. .
Jedi Rich remembers in the early 2000s inviting his closest friends at the time (Dan Nieder & Gregory Hedges) to meet Uncle Ralph (who worked for Sheldon at the Venetian). Jedi Rich was attending his Cousin Carlos' wedding in 2003. Uncle Ralph comped a full weekend room rates for Dan & Gregory & their dates. Back then, the Venetian was established to keep out the Vegas "riff-raff. They had a dress code just to walk in. They had no comps unless you were someone special. There wasn't a table with less than $10 min bets. Back then, many casinos were still offering $2 craps. The Venetian had lifted
Las Vegas' status from a tramp town to attract the highest International ballers from around the globe. Vegas had abandoned the "Leaving Las Vegas" imagery and had become "high class" again.
Today, the walk down the strip reveals that these same casinos are having to accommodate the same "riff-raff" they were hoping to exclude. The problem? $49 room rates & restaurant Groupons will attract the cheapest customers that most establishments hope to minimize.
The solution? Vegas will need a complete re-brand. No more slogans. And please, no more martyrdom for Vegas.
Bottom line: The riff-raff will scare off your big fish & International players.

Why Did Las Vegas Crumble?
Mostly because everyone here was only concerned about their own self-interest. That includes the Mayor, the Sheriff, Steve Sisolak, Dereck Stevens, Mark Davis & The Las Vegas Raiders. There are many others who took every chance they could to steal money from tourists before bailing out. Jim Murren, former CEO of MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas, come up with the brilliant idea of "Parking Fees" in 2016. Customers were charged $10 an hour to gamble their money away. The original owners of Las Vegas understood one thing: never put a clock in a casino. By charging customer's by the hour to play, you essentially put a limit on how long customer's will gamble. If Jim really wanted to generate more revenue, an pay structure that would encourage a guest to stay longer would have been advised by the Jedi. For example, instead of charge more the longer you stay, you cold charge less:
The Jedi are spending today working on a project for Ridley Scott & Kevin Macdonald called “A Day in the Life of a Jedi”. The Jedi are also preparing to move to Panamá. Stay tuned for more video updates on Jedi in Panamá.
LAS VEGAS, NV: LV Sands announced a whopping $1 billion loss for second quarter 2020. Conventions aren't expected to return to Las Vegas in 2020 so Wynn, MGM, & Caesars should see similar results. Nearly 1/2 the casinos in Vegas remain closed. The few casinos that are operating report record low occupancy rates of less than 25%. Twitter Blogger Las Vegas Locally wrote that Wynn sees occupancy in the teens.
What happened? Simple robbery.
The Great Palms Casino Caper of 2019
That's a billion dollars stolen from Las Vegas.
MGM, Jim Murren, Steve Sisolak & Stephen Paddock
Jedi will probably never be able to prove the connection, however, Steve Sisolak provided Jim Murren material inside information regarding the State's plan to shut down Nevada on March 17th 2020.
There's another billion dollars that was stolen out of Las Vegas.
The Venetian Bought Las Vegas' Only Newspaper
What do casino operations & honest journalism have in common? Nothing, Except Sheldon Adelson.
You don't hear Stephen Paddock's name very often from Las Vegas blogger or local media because there is a general rule in Vegas: do not report any bad news that could affect tourism. To make sure of that, Sheldon Adelson & the Adelson family purchased the Las Vegas Review-Journal in 2015,. This is straight out of Citizen Kane. Sheldon has Trump in his back pocket. Sheldon is Trump's largest donor.
Its convoluted and complicated. A full formal investigation would take years. The bottom line: Vegas has been sending fake news to Wall Street since Sheldon & his family secretly bought the paper. The local media and bloggers simply repeat what the Review Journal writes.
How many billions were stolen from Vegas by creating a fake "Best of Vegas" news article?
The Final Straw: Nearly $1 Billion Tax Burden to Hotel Casinos for the Raiders Stadium
You can voice your opinions on a publicly funded civic stadium to be paid for by tourists but from a cosmic, karma point of view-- Sisolak, Murren, Adelson, and the others done gone too far ripping off consumers. The stadium was rejected by voters. A new deal was promoted through the Las Vegas Review journal convnced local voters to tax tourists to pay for nearly 1/2 of a civic stadium. Does that seem right? Making visitors form Green Bay pay for the Raider Nation Stadium? If it were the other way around, anyone in the Raider Nation would have a shit cow.
There you go: 4 examples off the top of my head from just reading twitter shows nearly $4 billion of tourists profit gone. As the CEO of a small convince store, I can tell you that losing one candy bar means you'll have to sell at least 5 before you break even.
How many candy bars will Vegas need to sell before it breaks even?
There are not enough ride share drivers in Las Vegas. Uber & Lyft are taking anywhere from 20 minutes to 40 minutes to arrive. Often, they will cancel after 15 minutes and you have to start the process over again. Drivers are complain they are being forced to pick up passengers that are 40 minutes away. Drivers do not get paid to pick up their rides.
Sugar & caffeine addiction addiction is real. Sugar & caffeine consumption in humans has drastically changed over the past 50 years. Once only for children, mass amounts of caffeine, sugar (and sugar substitutes) are now consumed in every meal & beverage. Children are now drinking caffeine & adults consume dairy throughout their entire adult life. Sugar and dairy were meant to be consumed by children. Caffeine was almost never allowed to be consumed by kids.
Blood Sugar Levels (BSLs) Determine Your Mood
Jedi advocate healthy living. We stopped consuming caffeine & dairy (goodbye Starbucks), alcohol (goodbye bars & clubs), sugar & sugar substitutes (goodbye fun food), GMOs (goodbye restaurants), & gluten (goodbye breads & pastas). We stopped consuming anything that would raise our blood sugar levels. The reason we included sugar substitutes is because your body recognizes artificial sweeteners (ie stevia) from as sugar. When excess sugar is detected in your blood stream, the brain tells the body to release insulin. Insulin is makes you fat, irritable, & edgy . Anything you eat that produces insulin will result in your mood changing negatively.
Sugar isn't actually bad for you; everything breaks down to sugar. Sugar is the primary source of fuel for humans (and plants & animals). However, adding sugar to your body in the form of fruit, beverages, artificial sweeteners, carbohydrates, alcohol, dextrose, fructose, galactose, glucose, lactose (dairy), maltose, sucrose, beet sugar, brown sugar, cane juice crystals, cane sugar, castor sugar, coconut sugar, agave nectar syrup, barley malt, blackstrap molasses, brown rice syrup, caramel, carob syrup, corn syrup, evaporated cane juice, etc. etc. etc, results in your brain telling your pancreas to produce insulin. Insulin its a hormone that instructs your body do the following:
Why do Sugar Substitutes & Caffeine Make You Fat?
Caffeine increases your heart rate, but your metabolism is determined by your hypothalamus system. Rather than making you lose weight, caffeine gives you a temporary boost of euphoria by raising your blood sugar level (BSL) that is immediately followed by insulin production. Insulin production tells you body to store sugar as fat & makes you tired. After about 20 minutes of drinking coffee, you will feel the effects off insulin. You will feel tired, sluggish, irritable & probably hungry. BONUS: once you're addicted, Pavlov's dog is in effect. Just the thought or picture or smell of coffee is enough for your brain to preemptively release insulin.
The same goes for sweets. When you add artificial sweeteners that are 100 times sweeter than sugar, your brain reacts accordingly with mass amounts of insulin production. When you are addicted to sugar, just the photo or thought of a white creamed cupcake, melted mud pie rownies, or cinnamon rolls filled with warm caramel are enough for your brain to start insulin production.
How do you know if you're addicted to sugar & caffeine?
Do you literally get "excited"at the thought of meeting someone for Starbucks?
When you see a photo of a food, do you want to eat it? Even if it's unhealthy?
Are you tired, depressed and sluggish? But the thought of coffee or a desert "treat" excites you?
Do you over eat meals because you think "I'm goin to the gym tomorrow to burn it off"? That's another form of binge eating disorder.
At this stage, it would not matter whether Nevada shuts down or not; the casinos are losing money by staying open at less than 50% capacity. They would prefer to close until this blows over. However, there are other factors that play into the decision; no one knows whats going to happen.
While Wynn & Venetian bleed out, Resort World is sitting pretty as they wait to open in September 2021.
