Why doesn’t the moon rotate?
Actually, the moon does rotate. It rotates in perfect sync with the Earth’s rotation so that it appears to be stationary. This is a phenomenon known as “synchronous rotation” and it is “tidally-locked”, meaning the oceans somehow synchronize the moon.
