Out of the box thinkers:
It has been a long, hard journey. I chose the road less traveled. I have made millions and lost millions; more than once. I have been arrested and served my time; more than once. But never for stealing or do anything dishonest. I was a victim of the war on drugs and the 9/11 attacks.
After the 9/11 attacks, I was deeply traumatized. I saw a psychotherapist PhD three times a week at $300 a session. I saw a psychiatrist M.D. once a week at $300 a session. I had two of the best doctors in Manhattan attempt to make me feel better after 9/11. Nothing worked.
Six months after 9/11, my employer, CheckFree, let me go. The reason was there was not enough business in New York City that will close in time to meet my goals. You don't say. Yep, no one was buying anything for about 6 months in Manhattan after 9/11. But that did not matter to my manager, Judith Duplisea. Judith was an "uptight, Catholic, South Boston bitch." That is what she called herself. Those are her words not mine. Anyway, my boss was a Jewish Hollywood liberal. Those two hated each other. But they both wanted me on their team. My boss got fired so Judith got me in 2001. She paid for me to relocate to Manhattan on September 1st, 2001. By March 2002 she let me go. Wow.
I have never been abandoned before. This was scary. I was alone in Manhattan. I was 3000 miles from home and my company abandoned me after 9/11. I have never felt so scared. I cried every night. I moved from Gramercy Park to a small apartment in the Lower East Side. I live above a bar, across from Tompkins square park. I started doing drugs. I started bartending. I loved it. I felt I was channeling the people who died in 9/11 from New York City. Where did I learn these skills? Within 6 months, I was serving Ivanka Trump, Alan Greenspan, Robert Diero, OJ Simpsin, Carrot Top, Mariah Carey to name a few. I had a great job a the Little Nell in Aspen Colorado in 2004-2005. Bt in 2006 I got arrested for cocaine possession in Portland, Oregon during Aspen's off-season.
Since then, I have changed the way I view the World. I understand how difficult life is once you have a criminal record. It's impossible to get a job other than working a gas pump. That was not good enough fo me. I moved to another country to start over. Panama in 2013.
That is where Jedi Joy and I first came up with the idea for a #JediJoyRichShow. We weren't Jedi at that time, of course. We were drunk Americans living abroad in cheap hotels. We spent $8 a day on rum, sometimes twice. About $125 on cocaine a day, usually not twice. We lived their for a year. We did not want to leave but our visa expired twice. If we did not leave, we would be banned from Panama. We paid a $600 fine for overstaying.
Fast forward, Jedi Joy and I learned how to make money in Las Vegas. It was all cash. I couldn't get a job with a as a bartender with my record and neither could Joy. Joy had a DUI Diversion back in 2009 but those still show up on background checks. Too embarrassing. Joy would bsujected to working hourly jobs and she was a decorated US Air Force Combat Veteran.
By not working main stream jobs, we learned a lot. We stopped watching TV. We started reading about health. We learned how take to stay thin while everyone else got fat during the pandemic. I lost 175 pounds. Its been a long journey but we have learned a lot about life, business, people, customers, And we documented everything on video on our website, YouTube, Vimeo, IG, Twitter Facebook accounts.
Please review my resume. If you have have any questions, let me know. There is no need to do a background check. I will tell you everything. Video samples can be found here.
