After spending over an hour with customer service from Expedia, their answer to a $900 overcharge was “I will have someone get back to you within 24 to 72 hours”. When I asked if I’m going to get a refund he said “I cannot assure you that you will be refunded from Air Canada”. The buyers’ only recourse is to contact their back and dispute the charge.
After imitating a chargeback request with Well Fargo, the CSR sent me a thank you & follow up. I’ve yet to even receive an acknowledgement from Expedia if anyone is working on this case. And Expedia is the business which initially took our money.
