Photos and video coming soon upon release. We had the pleasure to get a private tour with an inspector from the Resort World in Las Vegas on Friday, May 24, 2019. The inspector explained that over the last 10 years a lot of the structure has deteriorated. Now if you are unaware of the history of this project. This is the original location of Stardust Resort and Casino which was demolished in 2007. Boyd gaming went onto create this new Echelon project which was halted in 2008 due to the economic downfall. So the Chinese investors Genting Group purchased the 87 acres of land with the partial construction started in 2013. The structures were starting to deteriorate and rust, since the structures had sat so long in the elements. They had to decide if it was best to start from scratch or salvage the remaining structures. They had to evaluate what would be the safest, smartest and most efficient way to proceed with the project. One of the structures that was in question was the future theatre. This theatre will most likely be the home of a show like “Cirque Du Soleil”. Or any show that has many moving parts and stages. We were able to walk into this massive theatre. It looks beautiful. It’s going to be a fantastic place. The inspector explained to us that they were able to make the structure safe by installing tons of bolts to reinforce the steal beems. This is precautionary since some of the steel started to erode and rust. Never a dull moment in the life of The Jedi. The inspector showed us the inside of the casino. It’s amazing. One of the reasons that this project is taking so long, is the intricacy and the detail taken on this building. The casino design is phenomenal. There are going to be so many twists, bends, circles and shapes.
Everyone knows the easiest structure to build is a box. Resort World is anything but a square box. When you are in the inside you see the gorgeous shapes and designs taking place. Several of the restaurants, high limit areas and other areas in the casino are round shaped. It takes a lot of work to design round shapes with steal beams. This resort is going to be very unique. Now as I say unique, let’s remember they are in a law suit with Wynn/Encore about the paint and windows being the same as theirs. This is true. It did look extremely similar. They have now been experimenting with so many different colors for the lines. If you are unaware of this issue. Wynn/Encore noticed that the cream paints lines on the brown/gold windows were all to alike to their building. So they sued Resort World. Resort World conceded and are changing the color palette. They have experimented with black and different combinations of red. It appears for now they are still up in the air. The funny joke on Wynn/Encore is that this Chinese investors would love to eventually buy the whole area. He wants to purchase Wynn/Encore and the lot by Trump. He wants to own the whole block. If this occurs then he can paint his buildings any color he likes. He can have them all be the same or different. We will see if that happens in the future. If it does, then you heard it first from the JediJoyRichShow. This building is going to be the third, but technically the second highest building in Las Vegas. The highest building is the Stratosphere followed by unfinished Fontainebleau project. The “Big Blue Stealy” is what I like to call it. Resort World will be at least 70 stories high with a potential roof structure to add more height. Resort world will be the third tallest structure in Las Vegas, but technically the second tallest building without being such an observation area like the Stratosphere. It’s massive. Right now, it is 65 stories high. It’s so intense when you are on site to experience the size of this structure. It’s mind blowing. It was such a fun day. I could not believe how much progress was done on the inside of the casino. It appeared nothing was being done as you drive and walk by for years. Now, I understand they have been working extremely hard on the design aspect of this resort. This is going to be a top notch, no money spared to create a phenomenal new resort in Las Vegas. It’s time for another resort. We have not had a new resort since City Center, which was 2009. Amazingly, that is now 10 years old. Time flies when you are living and loving in Las Vegas. The inspector also worked on the City Center project. He made a joke that the Harmon had to be dismantled. This site is larger than the whole City Center lot. I am not sure people realize how large this Resort World lot is. It’s 87 acres. It’s going to be a massive resort. We like to call these “Mega Resorts”. I was impressed with the progress on the inside of the casino. This is where all the time and money has been focused. The casino is massive. It will not be boutique like at all. It will feel large. Similar to how Aria feels in the casino but even bigger. The pool will be on the third floor. They plan on building a structure on the roof, which is still unknown what exactly that will be. The project is finally coming along. It’s great to see some positive progressive movement to a finish date. I am glad they resolved the Wynn/Encore lawsuit. Wynn/Encore actually tried to file a restraining order and halt construction. That was taking it too far. The Universe did not agree with the greed of Wynn/Encore. So with a couple palette and design changes they came to an agreement. It will be funny if at the end of the day, the Genting Group buys out Wynn and then paints their building back to the cream color. The wound be a win (Wynn) for Resort World!!
