Vegas' downfall began when Trump took office in 2016. Sheldon Adelson knew the saying "Don't Mess With China" because Sheldon is the Chairman & CEO of the Las Vegas Sands Corp. The Las Vegas Sands Corp has been at war with the Asian Mafia for years. They have negotiated territories and they abide by them. Steve Wynn violated the territorial agreement when he expanded into Macao. When you violate territories in the mob, you don't get gunned down like Al Capone did in the St Valentines Day Massacre. No. Mass shootings are for kids. This is grown up business. Instead of a shootout today, weird things happen to your business. For example, salon girls suddenly come forward with lawsuits against the boss.
On October 1st, 2017, there was a military style attack on Trump festival goers at the Route 51 Festival. It was not a Trump rally-- however it was politically motivated to hurt the business of MGM. Vegas never had a chance to recover before the coronavirus shut everything down.
Sheldon Warned Donald Trump in 2019
July 2019, Donald Trump threatens Li Keqiang, the Prime Minister of China. Sheldon freaks. He calls Trump from the hospital in Israel to say "dude, what are you doing? A trade war with China will negatively imopace the US economy and youre hopes for re-election in 2020". Adelson's people even called Trump's re-election campaign but still, they wouldn't listen to Sheldon. Now in 2020, an election year, the Trump camp claims that the coronavirus was either a Chinese hoax that was exaggerated by the Democrats or a deadly virus that was intentionally released by the Chinese government. Either way, it sounds like politics not science.
