As pointed by Scott Roeben, fake news is alive and well in Las Vegas.
The news media has become nothing but an advertisement for the casinos, a blotter report for Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, and a channel for any political campaign that pays enough money. Same is true for everything that’s printed in the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
It’s getting really bad. What used to be what once was a method of “spinning“ news in order to favor certain casinos, has now become the status quo mode of operation for every news article distributed out of Las Vegas.
Public mistrust of the local media is at a all time high.
The longer the fake news journalists are allowed to operate in Las Vegas, the lazier the fake news journalists get. The lazier a journalist gets, the sloppier they get. The sloppier they get, the more obvious they become and distrust is mounting among the people. Everyone asked what happened to the mob in Las Vegas. The mob goes where the money is. And if the mob can manipulate the local news in Las Vegas to write fake news reports about the Las Vegas economy, then that’s where the mob will go.
