Today is the longest that Las Vegas has gone without measurable rainfall in history.  Las Vegas is in unchartered 'waters' so to speak.  The last time it rained in Clark County was Tuesday April 21st 2020.

Drought in Las Vegas. 150 days without measurable rainfall is record.
The theme for 2020 is 'unprecedented'.  Today will be no exception.  Las Vegas has not has any rain fall in 150 days (5 months).
A drought is detrimental to Las Vegas' ecology. Droughts are not solely caused by lack of rainfall.  Droughts are also caused by overpopulation. In the past, the demand for water peaked when tourists visited Las Vegas.  Each week. nearly 350,000 people or 45 million people a year will stay in Las Vegas. Fortunately for Las Vegas' ecology, the shutdown has minimized the impact of people on the water supply.
Las Vegans get their water for Lake Mead.  Last. checked, researchers found that there was only enough water to last until 2070.  But that was before Resort World, the NFL, the NHL, and Circa came to town. Now, Las Vegas has been in a drought and no one even notices.
