Spoke with Rocket Engineer about Stadium Bolt and Roof FIasco

1/3/2020

LAS VEGAS, NV; A rocket engineer from California contacted us after he saw report on our Raiders / Allegiant Stadium update on the roof raising delay and bolt breaking fiasco. He called us with grave concern that the contractors are lying to the public in order to meet deadlines.

The Roof at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas Could Collapse on 65,000 People + Two Football Teams

Eight out of 44 structural bolts broke in November 2019 with crews attempted to raised the cable net roof system in freezing cold temperatures.
These 44 structural bolts hold the twenty-six 600 ton trusses in place.  The cable net roof will "hook" on to these bolts when lifted.  But when Mortensen/McCarthy  "pinned" the cables to the bolts, the bolts broke when the hydraulic lifts began lifting.
Roof raising delay shut down
Rick Velotta wrote a cryptic article that eventually said the roof raising had been shut down by inspectors f4om Grand Canyon Development Partners in Las Vegas, Nevada.
No one knows for sure why these bolts broke.   The cable roof system is precise;  comparable to a 17-Acre Swiss Watch, according to Don Webb.  However, in June of 2019, the crew brought a truss down because it was 1/4 of an inch too long. Webb removed the structural bolts, cut them down, shimmied them and "hit them really hard" to make these structural bolts fit.  Apparently, during this process of messing with the structural members of the Stadium, the integrity of the steel was compromised.  Thus, the structural bolts cannot support the weight of the roof because Don Webb messed with them.
There real reason the the Stadium has run over budget by $130 million is because Don Webb ran out of time.  Don was pressed with an impossible task.  From th3 beginning, he said we have to do "four years of work in 31 months". That's a four year project squeezed down to a little over 2 years.  I would say Don was set up.

The first delay happened when Mortonsen/McCarthy failed to pay to Merril Steven for levelly of steel.  That caused a 2 month delay. When the steel finally arrived in February, they had to rush to build the trusses. But there was a historic snow storm in Las Vegas that shut down schools for 3 days.  They lost more time.  One worker we spoke to said 1/2 the trusses were built with parts put on upside down. He said that's the real reason one truss came down.

We called this the "truss fuss" back in June.  The "truss fuss" was when a truss was suspended in the air with a $500,000 per month crane rental (from Roll-Lift) for 6 weeks.  Don Webb, Rick Velotta and Mick Akers denied any problems with the trusses.

Don Webb's mode operand is to conceal mistakes from the public long enough for his engineers to hack together a solution.  In this case, Don thought that he could mess with structural columns of a 16,000 ton roof.
Mick and Rick orchestrated online campaigns to smear any blogger or tweeter who would said anything about a delay in an attempt to discredit them.  This was an orchestrated attempt by at least 3 individuals who attempted to deceive the public, the taxpayers, the Bank of America, the NFL and the United States of America.
