Investors: Do You Know Who You Can Trust in Las Vegas?
Have you ever heard someone say, "You've gotta know a 'guy'" in order to go to Vegas? That's because Vegas attracts greedy people. Greedy people come here to make more money. They come here to play. And some come here to "work". By work, I mean, they come here to convince you to give them your money. So, if you own Vegas stocks or you are looking to invest in a restaurant or hotel in Las Vegas, who do you know who in Vegas that you can trust?

This week, the world learned a few more dirty secret about Las Vegas: Jon Gray, Alex Cordova, The Ferittas Brothers and Marshmello cost stock holders millions of dollars, as a large portion of a breached $60 million contract left The Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas without any DJ's for 2019-2020.
Jon Gray and the Ferittas Brothers conned, I mean, convinced shareholders at Red Rock Resorts (NASDAQ:RRR) to invest in $690 million to renovate their newly purchased hotel; The Palms Resort and Casino. That is a lot to bite off in one sitting.
That's pretty chummy for a guy who just cost the Ferittas brother's their clout as club owners by stiffing several DJ acts in Vegas. Marshmello and Skrillex landed the largest DJ deal ever: $60 million for 2 years. Sounds like the well is never going to run dry. But where is the money coming from to pay for all this?
Sheldon Adelson's family owns both the Las Vegas Sands and the LVRJ. There is an obvious conflict of interest if you rely upon the local media to provide you unbiased reports on Las Vegas."
Oh yea. You. Your stocks. Thanks a lot. See ya later.
Mick Akers and Rick Velotta work for the Las Vegas Review-Journal (LVRJ). The LVRJ was purchased by the Las Vegas Sands Corp (NASDAQ: LVS) in 2015. Sheldon Adelson's family owns both the Las Vegas Sands and the LVRJ. There is an obvious conflict of interest. So who can you trust if you cannot rely upon the local media to provide you unbiased reports on Las Vegas? The Jedi, of course.
Someone Stole Parts to the Tax-Payer Funded Stadium
Yes, its true. But we don't know to what depths this occurred yet. According to Don Webb COO at Mortensen-McCarthy Construction in Las Vegas, someone "didn't" steal some contractor tools. What? Sound like double-speak to me. But not to Mick Akers. Mick reported to the public that it was just a misunderstanding between two contractors. If that was so Mick, then the public wants to know why was the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department positioned at every outlet with lights flashing when we were filming on September 30th, 2019?
The tweet storm started when @VitalVegas tweeted that he heard there is a roof delay of up 80-100 days. Mick Akers from the LVRJ quickly responded to the tweets and accused Vital Vegas of spreading fake news.
That is exactly how the conversations go between Don and Rick. Don feeds Rick bullshit, and Rick prints it. Same goes for Mick. And the same goes for the Las Vegas Sands and anyone else Rick & Mick report on. I think Rick's a great writer; probably the best journalist in Las Vegas But he doesn't want to be disliked. And who would want to be disliked in this town? If you are disliked, then you will get banned. That will cost you your job.
There is no 1st amendment in Las Vegas. Try taking a picture of the Luxor with a tripod. Security will shoot you down faster Brian Love can shoot Alex Garica. Oh, thats another story. Check security guard Brian Love Las Vegas.
Back to the crime that never happened. Okay, so why were there police cars on the property from September 30th - October 3rd? That is almost a week. Mick Akers said that it had nothing to do with any robbery. Mick said the police were only there for extra security. So @LasVegasLocally as asked who was paying for the extra security. Mick Akers from the Review-Journal assured @LasVegasLocally that was being paid for by Mark Davis' Raiders.
The next day the cops were gone.
Thats enough drama for two days in Vegas Im tired of writing and I have a video to produce. It's 6:30am. Ive been here since 3:30am. I will keep you updated on:
