We spoke to a man from New York City who went to Las Vegas on July 4th, 2021. He said he "hated it". The word he used to describe Las Vegas was "depressing". He said it reminded him of a carnival. He said he thinks they are targeting marketing the people who go on cruises. He kept saying "Las Vegas is depressing".
Unfortunately, we weren't interviewing him. We did not have time to grab a video. The Jedi expressed concern for Las Vegas ever since the October 1st Mandalay Bay shooting in 2017. We felt the local media, the bloggers and reporters were not being honest with the public about the state of the Vegas economy for fear that they would lose their big "ballers" or "whales" a.k.a. the investors.
Heather Shaw is a Canadian who moved to Las Vegas. Like many people, she wanted to make money by posting videos. Videos about Las Vegas get views. People are interested in Las Vegas for tourism, business and WTF. People die on construction projects in Las Vegas. Cops kill black people for riding without a headlight. The Las Vegas city council passes laws that circumvent the 8th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. The Nevada Attorney General allows a casino mogul to secretly purchase the counties largest newspaper. When they caught him, they allowed the transaction to remain. That was 2015. That was the beginning when Las Vegas began to see a downturn.
