Celebrity & Bulimia is nothing new. I learned about bulimia when I was 16 years old from watching the news. In 1984, bulimia was just beginning to surface as more people were coming off alcohol and drugs. By the 1990s everyone in Hollywood was sober but so bulimic they literally stopped talking about eating disorders. However, research has proved that people from 1999 to 2018 saw an enormous spike in obesity rates. In 1999, only 30.5% of Americans were obese. By 2018, the obesity rate exceeded 40% and jumped to a whopping 42.4%. Thats nearly 1/2 the population is obese. The governments goal of Healthy People 2020 failed miserably. As Obese means dangerously overweight. About 73% of Americans are overweight today.
