eBay Seller known as ‘alternativecellutions’ sells used gear advertised as BRAND NEW. The Jedi discovered the fraudulent seller when they purchased a $2,000 from Steve at the company. Someone forgot to remove the return packing slip. We opened the box, we saw the previous buyers name, receipt and reason for returning the camera. The camera had over 150 shutter actuations. There were parts missing. The seller agreed to give a partial refund so that we could buy the parts that were missing.
I thought, give the guy a break. He’s a businessman that is struggling. The camera is almost brand new, so I let it slide.
Three weeks later, the camera malfunctions. It’s defective. I was going to contact Nikon for warranty repair but this was still within EBay’s 30 day return money back guarantee policy.
I returned the camera. The seller only gave me half my money back, citing that I used the camera for 3 weeks then returned a malfunctioning camera.
We reported the seller to EBay. We are waiting for EBay to finish their investigation. We are hoping for a full refund.
