Another word for marveling is “intramuscular fat”. Farmers feed cows grains instead of grass to get more intramuscular fat, faster. However humans get intramuscular fat, too. It’s a condition known as obesity. Humans who eat a vegetarian diet are eating the same diet as a cow. Cows who eat only grass are leaner than cows who eat grains. Cows that eat only grains are obese. Marbling is a result of a cow being obese. Farmers know grains make cows “marble” faster than grass. They use grains because the USDA grades the value of meat based on the amount of marbeling. The more marbling, or intramuscular fat, the higher the grade, thus a higher profit.
Grain is cheaper than grass too. Grain could be corn, soy or other processed sugars. Feeding cows a pure sugar diet makes cows obese. Eating an obese cow will take away the benefits of eating a high protein diet, low fat, no carb diet.
You are what you eat. Choose 100% grass fed over grain fed.
