Las Vegas has been overrun with douchebags and the police respond accordingly

Las Vegas has lost many of their sex workers since the clientele has gone downstream.

People go to Las Vegas for the same reason they go to nightclubs: to see and be seen. But what happens when your nightclub is overrun by people you do not want to see? That’s the dilemma Las Vegas is facing today.

Las Vegas was in trouble every since the Mandalay Bay shooting.  But the shooting was just salt in the wounds.  A downturn was eminent ever since PASPA overturned that allowed legalized sports betting in other states. Either way, Las Vegas was headed downstream.

The local Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department encrypted their radios in February of 2018 in response to the October 1st 2017 shooting at Mandalay Bay.  The city took an iron fist.  Security guards and LVMPD accidentally murdered two citizens in separate instances.  Videos of the LVMPD putting black men in choke holds on the Las Vegas strip were surfacing on the Internet.  Two earthquakes, a snow storm, pigeons with hats and then a global pandemic shutdown closed Las Vegas for 78 days. MGM had just sold the Bellagio and the Mandalay Bay.  Now they had to sell the Aria and the Vdara as well.  The Las Vegas Sands sold their interest in Las Vegas casinos in January of 2021.  However, Resorts World continued to press forward spending billions of investor's money as if they were working from a playbook from 2013.

"Douchey" would be the best word to describe the clientele in 2019.   Las Vegas has just exceeded a population of 2 million, mostly Californians but all with one priority: we do not care where we live as long as we have a big house and lots of money.  These new Nevadans wanted Las Vegas to be safe and family friendly.  They passed anti-partying laws.  They tried to ban open containers but they got no glass containers.  They tried to ban the street performers.  But all they got was street performers who now need a permit.  They tried to ban sex workers, but all they got was Backpage.com shutdown.  But the things they wanted, they got.  Between 2016 and 2020, Las Vegas got a Dave & Busters, a hockey team, a football stadium, a football team, a women basketball team, strip clubs closed and replaced with ice cream stands.
