Who is the Best Photographer in Las Vegas?

A Tweet was Posted Asking "Who is the BEST photographer in Las Vegas?"

That's great. Artists are not competitive yet the anxiety was already beginning to settle in.

Photographers are true artists.  That means that we express ourselves regardless of social norms.  You may find that we make you uncomfortable at first, but later on, at some point, years from now, something we did or said will make you laugh your ass off.

Art is Everywhere

I'm not going to say "art is subjective" because it isn't. It either sucks or it doesn't.  There are plenty of artists who force their art on you in movies, TV and on radio. You cannot avoid going to the store with hearing or seeing Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande or Scooter Braun, I mean Taylor Swift.

Like pop music, photography is 20th century art. But photography started migrating towards "moving pictures" in the 1930s and "moving pictures" are now simply called movies. As such, a natural progression from photography are videos.
Today, we experience art through videographers, video editors, sound engineers, special effect designers  etc. These are the oil painters and sculptors of the 21st Century  So, whether you realize it or not, you are watching "video art" every single day when you watch sports, news, entertainment and of course, music videos. You are an art connoisseur because today you are consuming  media 24 hours a day.  That can be a good thing.  You are an expert.

The 20th Century was marked by the industrial revolution and the ability to "clone" products.  Fast food was invented. Music and video on demand became the expected norm. And with 500 different TV channels and growing, it seemed that there was endless content.

Amazingly, after a few seasons of binge watching every show conceivable, the thrill of this new entertainment wore off.  We needed more stimulation.  Simply waiting one week per episode was not good enough. We needed more, faster and bigger entertainment.  But as we know, that is not sustainable.
We realized that art mass produced had become just like food mass; boring and.....

...predictable.
This is because popular artists and photographers are trained to perform exactly like their peers and competitors. Schools have competitions that rank artists based on a set range of criteria that make all the students the same.  Thats fine for awhile  but eventually you will need something ground breaking.
The criterium at these competitions is set by the experts.  The "experts" are usually ex-singers, ex-musicians, ex-dancers, etc. who have mastered the basics.  Their role was supposed to "teach" others. Instead, many artists today choose to judge other artists rather than teach them. Hmm.
Because artists think differently  they also learn differently. Creating fear or anxiety to push someone to excel was the methoid used by pharaohs to encourage slaves to fight. Survial. An artist has accepted that they area already dead. So an artist, in that predicament, would simply succumb to it's attacker, as Obi Wan Kenobi did in Star Wars Episode IV.

True artists, such as the artists at JediRich.com Studios, think differently.  A true artist could never expect to win a competition because the expectation is that the winner did exactly like the predecessor, only better, faster or cheaper.

These are not the top priorities of true artists.

School sucks. No one enjoys going to school because teachers  judge you from the moment you walk in the door.  They judge you based on what you are wearing, how you talk and how well you score. This is not the method of the Jedi.
The Jedi teach by example.  You have mentor and your mentor has a mentor. You cannot make a mistake; for you are a Jedi.  If you feel the pain of remorse because of a particular outcome, then simply remove that negative Sith and replace it with positive vibes.  A negative Sith is an energy that has attached itself to you.  So when you think negative thoughts about yourself, those are negative Siths. Hooray - you've identified your Siths; usual fear-Siths, anger-Siths, anxiety-Siths and resentful-Siths.  Now, simply clear yourself of those negative Siths  by asking The Force and calibrate.  Now move forward.

We follow our feelings. We trust The Force. And when you do that, you cannot make a mistake; only calibrate.

Back to Why the Entertainment Industry Sucks Today

The industry has become a talent show contest judged by prior winners.  At first, we might have been impressed with the winners of American Idol or Americas Got Talent.  Then those winners essentially became the next level judges.  As a result of years and years of whittling artists down to the "best" winner, we now have nothing more than a bunch of clones.  Everyone is trying to impress the previous winner.
